Rates and payments
The total annual lesson fee is divided into twelve equal payments. The amount collected monthly remains the same throughout the year.

Breakdown of the monthly fee: number of lessons per year (36) x fee per individual lesson = annual amount.
Annual amount ÷ 12 months = monthly fee.

VAT Rates: For individuals over 21 years old, we are legally required to charge 21% VAT.

Rates for regular lessons: 30 min private lesson (<21 years = €35 | >21 years (incl. 21% VAT) = €42.35)
60 min private lesson (<21 years = €70 | >21 years (incl. 21% VAT) = €84.70)

Example 1:
A 12-year-old student taking weekly 30-minute private drum lessons.
€35 per lesson x 36 lessons ÷ 12 months = €105 per month.

Example 2:
A 36-year-old student taking biweekly 60-minute private drum lessons.
€84.70 per lesson x 18 lessons ÷ 12 months = €127.05 per month.

Exception: if a student does not start in the first week of the month, the number of lessons x price for a single lesson within a fixed rate must be paid in this first month.

Example 3:
Student aged 18 starts lessons in week 3 of September and therefore has 2 more lessons this month, in week 3 and week 4.
€35 x 2 lessons is €70, then payments of the fixed monthly amount start on October 1.

Note: When you discontinue drum lessons, the amount paid up to that point may not fully cover the number of lessons received. This amount will be adjusted in the final payment upon cancellation.

Terms and Conditions
1. Registration and de-registration
Registration is done using the registration form. This form will be provided to the student during the trial lesson and must be completed and signed before the first lesson. The registration is valid indefinitely and will continue until the student decides to terminate, with a one-month notice period. At this point, a final settlement will be made based on the amount paid up to that time compared to the number of lessons given up to that point.
Deregistration must be done in writing. Once we receive it and the final lesson month has passed, the student will be automatically deregistered and relieved of any further obligations to Drum Lab Utrecht.

2. Payment
Payment is made by bank transfer from the student or student's parent-guardian.
The annual amount is paid in 12 equal installments. Transfer takes place on the first day of every month.
If a student starts his or her lessons halfway through a month, the first payment must be made by the student himself or herself.
as described in rates and payment above. Registration to the drum school is free.
When the student stops, a final settlement will take place, with the number given
lessons will be settled against the amount paid so far.

3. Absence
When the student is sick or cannot attend their lesson for any other reason, they must notify this at least 48 hours in advance.
The lesson can then, in consultation with the teacher, be rescheduled to another time. If the teacher is absent due to a performance, illness, or another valid reason,
they will ensure that a suitable substitute takes over the lessons. If this is not possible, the lesson will be rescheduled for another time, in consultation.

4. Lesson moment and schedule
For the first lesson or at the beginning of each new season, Drum Lab Utrecht, together with the teacher and/or student (parents, guardians), will determine the most suitable day and time for the lesson. Drum Lab Utrecht aims to schedule existing students with the teacher from the previous season at the start of each new season. The teacher will ensure that, within each calendar year, the number of lessons outlined in the lesson plan will be completed by the end of the year. The lesson schedule will be available on our website and in the drum studio each year.
6.Instruments and other learning materials
Drum Lab Utrecht expects that the student has a suitable instrument at home so that they can practice the lessons at home as well. The costs for this and for acquiring other learning materials are the responsibility of the student. The teacher will provide information about this.
7. Single lessons
For those who do not wish to take regular lessons but want to attend occasionally, it is possible to book single lessons. The cost is €38 per 30 minutes (excluding 21% VAT for those over 21 years old), and these can be booked at any time. Please note: a single lesson is relatively more expensive than taking regular lessons. Lessons must be scheduled in consultation with the teacher and paid for in advance.
8. Costs
On an annual basis, 36 lessons are assumed. Prices may be adjusted each year, and any changes will be communicated to the student in advance. For individuals aged 21 and over, 21% VAT will be added to the lesson price. For current lesson prices, please visit www.drumlabutrecht.com.
